The Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) functions as an integral member of the surgical team. The OR-RN interfaces with patients, surgeons, and anesthesia staff in the surgical setting. The OR-RN implements the pre-operative plan of care, demonstrating knowledge of the responsibilities of the RN pre-operatively, intra-operatively, and post-operatively.
